During an income tax assessment, there may be instances when the taxpayer is not satisfied with the assessment made by the Assessing Officer. In such occurrences, the taxpayer is entitled to file an appeal against the Assessing Officer. Appeal of income tax order has to be filed before the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals).
